Definitions
Hackathon
Is a short, intensive, collaborative event where participants rapidly design and build solutions, usually in technology, or software within a limited timeframe (often 24-48 hours). It combines teamwork, creativity and competition to produce prototypes or working products.
Financial education / financial literacy training
Training aimed at improving understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, and personal or business financial decision-making.
Investment / business readiness
Support to prepare participants and their ventures to engage with investors or funders, including financial modelling, governance, compliance, and business structuring.
Ideation and problem discovery support
Guidance to help participants identify real market problems, validate needs, and generate innovative, user-centred solution ideas.
Concept development
Assistance in refining an idea into a clear, structured concept, including value proposition definition, target market identification, and solution design.
Developing the prototype / MVP
Support to design and build a prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that demonstrates core functionality and can be tested with users.
Pitch training
Coaching to help participants clearly and confidently present their business or solution to stakeholders, partners, or potential investors.
Ecosystem support
