Mr. Vetumbuavi Mungunda

Vetumbuavi Mungunda is the Founder of Ombu Capital since 2021 and has a strong track record in key relevant fields including: • Until recently, he was the Chief Executive of Standard Bank Namibia for 7 years. • Managing Partner at Deloitte Namibia responsible for consulting and governance engagements, such as Identification and packaging of sectoral value-chain analysis, corporate governance, strategy development and economic & business analysis • Has performed work in the Beef & Lamb industry for some time, leading assignments that have investigated from a perspective of policy makers, exporters, farmers and farm suppliers wanting to transform the sector and create an integrated value chain from "plate to pasture" for the benefit of increased local value-addition and local value capturing. • Was a member of the Presidential Advisory Panel on the Economy (2019 - 2020) and is currently a member of the advisory board of the Namibia Investments Promotion and Development Board • He is the Chairman of the Boards of listed Oryx Properties Limited and Namibia Breweries Limited and serves on the boards of Bank Windhoek, Schoemans and the Namibia Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Dr. Michael Humavindu

Dr. Michael Nokokure Humavindu is Deputy Executive Director: Industrialisation, Investment Policy and Enterprise Development at the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade. Before that, he served as Director: Economics and Sector Research at the Namibian Competition Commission. He counts strategy development and implementation, industrial and enterprise development policy, large scale financing, ESG and integrated reporting, investment appraisal and policy, corporate sustainability, development finance and banking, natural resource economics, green and climate finance, informal economy and strategic governance among his skills. He recently served on the boards of Namibia University of Science & Technology (NUST), Agribank, Namdeb Holdings, Debmarine Namibia and the Sustainable Development Advisory Committee. He was appointed by the Bank of Namibia as an Interim Chair of the Credit Committee during the liquidation of SME Bank. Dr. Humavindu chaired the Environmental Economics Network of Namibia (EENN), is a Director on the Peugeot-Opel Assembly Namibia (POAN) board and is a member of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism's Nature Conservation Board.

Mr. Hobby Simuchile

Mr. Simuchile is an economist, working as a Program Officer at the SADC Secretariat since 2018 where he is responsible for Macroeconomic Surveillance and Regional Integration. Prior to joining the SADC Secretariat, Mr. Simuchile had worked as Senior Economist at the Bank of Zambia, responsible for Balance of Payments and International Relations. From Bank of Zambia, Mr. Simuchile worked at Zambia's National Economic Advisory Council (NEAC) as Senior Economist responsible for Economic analysis and Research.

Mr. Simuchile holds a Master of Science Degree in International Economics and Advanced Diploma in Economics from the University of Essex in the United kingdom, and a Batchelor's Degree from the University of Zambia.
